Zhe Tian

Located in Shanghai’s Former French Concession, Zhe Tian reinterprets the art of Chinese desserts as moments of introspection, blending childhood nostalgia with contemporary fine-dining. Custom monolithic concrete tables—fragmented and anchored in planter-like bases with sprouting grass—evoke an imperfect beauty rooted in the philosophy of wabi-sabi. The space bridges nature and memory through repurposed architectural elements, including polished wooden slats and exposed concrete, crafting an intimate “dessert restaurant” that invites slow, sensory engagement
